Lupus is hard to diagnose because the symptoms are hard to track. People often ignore the symptoms and
as a result wait a long time to see a doctor. The Lupus Foundation wanted to send a message to their at-risk audience (Black and Latina women) to raise awareness about Lupus and their risks.

We created this video as part of the“Be Fierce. Take Control” campaign to show the importance of listening to your body in order take control of your health. Instead of attempting to be a catalyst for empowering women, we identified women who were are already empowered– full-tackle female football players.

Additionally, we launched the befiercetakecontrol.org campaign website with complimentary illustrations for The Lupus Foundation social media channels.
